ThursdayOral MS Drugs Effective in Phase III Trials
Two oral drugs under investigation for multiple sclerosis reduced relapse rates and delayed onset of disability in separate trials reported online this week in the New England Journal of Medicine.
Fingolimod, a novel agent also known as FTY-720, was more effective than both placebo and the standard of care for MS, interferon-beta-1a (Avonex), in two independent trials.....full report in MedPage Today Labels: Avonex |
